Hooverphonic drops Eurovision Song  "Release Me"

We already knew for a while that Hooverphonic would be the artist representing Belgium at the 2020 Eurovision Song Festival in Rotterdam. Now we also know with which song. The song is named "Release Me" and has the typical Hooverphonic sound we know. It isn't really Eurosong material, but it's a good and catchy song.

"Release Me" has a nice beat that goes perfectly with Luka's voice. It is a typical Hooverphonic song that has a little bit of a James Bond theme song vibe. It isn't upbeat, it's more of a ballad, which doesn't always do well during the Eurovision Songfestival, but they can get far in the competition. I think they can easily make it in the finals. We will have to see on May 12th when they will perform the song at the first semi-finals. For lead singer Luka this will be a big experience. Not even two years ago she won The Voice and became the new lead singer of the band. Now she will sing in front of the world.

Listen to "Release Me" here below. And watch them perform the song during the first semi-finales of the Eurovision Songfestival on May 12th. If they go to the finals, they will perform the song again on May 16th.
